I wanted to make an 'about us' page, a quick reference page detailing journey thus far.
In June of 2008 I married the love of my life. We were 30 and ready to start our family. We decided that we would start right away and were hoping for a "Honeymoon Baby". The first few months were great, we were so hopeful and excited. Three months turned into six, and then nine, and then a year. We decided it was time to see a Reproductive Endocrinologist. Our timeline went something like this:
August '09 - Talked to my OBGYN. He ordered a Semen Analysis. (see post, it was funny)
October '09 - First consultation with RE#1, Dr. B. Semen analysis great.
Ordered HSG and Cycle day 3 bloodwork for me.
November '09 - First Round of Clomid. BFN
December '09 - Second Round of Clomid - while on a family vacation. Not so hot! BFN
January '10 - asked for Antral Follicle count and AMH testing. Diagnosed with Diminished Ovarian Reserve.
First Round of Femara and Ovidrel. BFN
February '10 - took a cycle off
March '10 - Second Round of Femara and Ovidrel. BFN
April '10 - Third Round of Femara and Ovidrel. BFN
May '10 - Decided to take a summer break. It lasted until March of '11
March '11 - Accepted to study, assigned oral meds (either femara or clomid) and HSG trigger shot. First cycle with meds and IUI. BFN
April '11 - Cycle #2 delayed due to two golf-ball sized cysts.
May '11 - Medicated and IUI Cycle #2.
